By accessing or using DateAtlas ("dateatlas.app", the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use constitutes acceptance of any modifications.

2. Description of Service

DateAtlas is an independent dating intelligence platform that provides aggregated data, comparisons, and editorial content about dating apps, safety, costs, and cultural insights for countries worldwide. The Service is provided "as is" for general informational and entertainment purposes only.

2a. Independence, No Affiliation, and Trademarks

DateAtlas is an independent, third-party publisher of dating-app reviews, comparative data, rankings, and country dating guides. We are not affiliated with, associated with, authorized by, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of the dating applications, platforms, or companies referenced on this site, including but not limited to apps owned or operated by Match Group, Bumble Inc., Grindr Inc., Spark Networks, MagicLab, or any other operator. No company featured on this site has reviewed, approved, or paid for its inclusion or its placement in our rankings.

All product names, app names, logos, icons, screenshots, and brands referenced here are the property of their respective owners. We use them solely to identify, describe, review, and compare the products they refer to — lawful nominative and descriptive fair use. We use only as much of each mark as is reasonably necessary to identify the product being discussed, and nothing on this site suggests sponsorship, endorsement, partnership, or affiliation by the trademark owner. 3. User Accounts and Registration

Certain features, including DateAtlas Pro, may require registration. You agree to provide accurate, complete information and keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the Service by automated means without our prior written consent
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers or networks connected to the Service
• Reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without attribution and written permission
• Use the Service to transmit spam, malware, or other harmful content

5. Intellectual Property

All content on DateAtlas, including text, data compilations, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of DateAtlas or its content suppliers and is protected by international copyright and intellectual property laws. Our data methodology, scoring algorithms, and editorial content are proprietary. Third-party data is attributed to its respective sources (Numbeo, EF EPI, Google Play Store, World Bank, ILGA World). Third-party product names, logos, and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners and are used here only for identification, comparison, and review; nothing in these Terms claims ownership of any third-party mark.

6. DateAtlas Pro and Payments

DateAtlas Pro is a premium subscription service. By subscribing, you agree to pay the applicable fees. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Prices may change with 30 days' notice.

7. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. DateAtlas does not warrant that the data is accurate, complete, or current. Reviews, ratings, safety scores, dating scores, cost indices, app rankings, comparison "winner" verdicts, pros and cons, and FAQ answers are our own opinions and interpretive estimates derived from third-party data and our methodology — not statements of objective, verifiable fact about any app or company, and not a guarantee of safety, quality, or performance. Some app summaries are AI-assisted research drafts and are labeled as such; they have not been verified through hands-on testing. Where we describe events, controversies, regulatory actions, data incidents, or user complaints involving a named app or operator, we are summarizing matters reported by third parties or by users, presented as report or opinion and not as our own independent verification of fact. Safety scores, cost indices, and app rankings should not be your sole basis for travel, safety, or personal decisions. 8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DATEATLAS AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. In no event shall our total liability exceed the amounts paid by you to DateAtlas in the twelve months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for any matter that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for gross negligence or intentional misconduct. This clause governs disputes with DateAtlas only and does not affect any rights you may have against the third-party apps or operators referenced on this site, nor does it waive any non-waivable statutory rights you have as a consumer.

9. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany, without regard to conflict of law principles, and any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the courts of Berlin, Germany — in each case to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. This choice of law and forum does not deprive you, where you are a consumer, of the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of habitual residence, and does not override your right under applicable mandatory consumer law to bring or defend proceedings in the courts of your home country. Nothing in this section waives any non-waivable statutory rights.
